Canine Rehabilitation Therapist, Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine,Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy, Food Therapy, In-Home Euthanasia and Cremation Services
Sorry but we are closed until Tuesday June 21. If your furry family member is in need of transition prior to then we encourage you to reach out to Dr. Maggie Himann at 249-490-8363. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Unfortunately we are no longer offering routine veterinary services including holistic consultations. At this time we are offering personalized in-home euthanasia and cremation services only. We hope to eventually be able to offer physical rehabilitation including acupuncture, spinal manipulation and cold laser therapy once again. Whenever possible we prefer to work outdoors but will adjust as needed to make sure your pet is safe and comfortable. We ask that masks are worn, even outside. We will travel anywhere within 1 hour of Indian River for euthanasias and do our best to be available 7 days a week (with some exceptions) for this vital service. COVID has created an increase in the demand for in-home euthanasia as it is often the only way for family members to be present with their transitioning pet so it is has become less likely we can help the same day. More than ever we urge you not to wait too long before reaching out to set up a home visit. If due our limited schedule we do not feel we can help your 4-legged family in the time frame or manner they deserve; we will do our best to recommend someone who can. We only want the best care for your pet.
After booking an appointment you will receive an email with standard COVID screening questions. Your appointment is not considered confirmed until we receive your email response. If you have answered yes to any of the questions, your appointment will be rescheduled.
We appreciate your understanding during these challenging times. We are truly saddened if we were not able to help your furry family member in their time of need.
If you would like to contact us DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE ON THIS SITE as we will not receive it. Please call 705-749-4609 or e-mail indianrivervet@gmail.com.

QUALITY OF LIFE ASSESSMENT
If you are just not sure if it is your four-legged family member’s time or if there is something you can do to improve their quality of life for a while longer we can come do a quality of life assessment.
We will spend the time to talk to you about your pet’s life and current condition, do a in-depth history and physical examination. We will discuss any potential diagnostic testing or treatment options that could potentially help your pet live a better quality of life, and share our findings with the veterinarian of your choosing.
Any diagnostic and treatment options would be done through your veterinarian. Indian River Mobile Veterinary Services provides physical rehabilitation services if appropriate to the Peterborough area (please contact us to find out if you are in our service area). If it is determined that it is time to say good-bye to your special friend we can proceed at the same appointment or comeback when you are ready
