HOW OFTEN IS AN ACUPUNTURE TREATMENT GIVEN?

How often and how many treatments required depends on the condition and individual response. Acute conditions may need only one. Most commonly 4-6 treatments one week apart are used. Some conditions require maintenance treatments every 1-3 months.

HOW LONG DOES AN ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT TAKE?

The initial appointment involves an in-depth history, examination as well as a treatment and will take 1-1 ½ hours. Follow-up treatments take 30-45 minutes.

HOW LONG UNTIL IMPROVEMENT CAN BE EXPECTED FOLLOWING AN ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT?

Effects can be seen almost immediately after receiving acupuncture, however most commonly it will take hours to days. Some conditions will require several treatments before improving.
